During the school holidays, Vallance in partnership with the Tower Hamlets PAYP (Positive Activities for Young People) hold a daily programme for boys and girls aged 8-19 years old.

The aim is to:

Give young people the opportunities for personal development through the provision of quality sports & recreational activities that stimulate and motivate them into an active and healthy life style.

• Provide a safe environment where young people can develop into confident and competent individuals that allow them to access mainstream society.

• Achieve personal and social development through a wide range of challenges and opportunities.

Be healthy: we aim to educate and raise awareness of health issues to all participants that access the programme and advise them on how to live a healthy lifestyle. The health workshops will raise awareness and make other services in Tower Hamlets accessible to users. Through actively participating in structured sports session participants will be able to develop their mental, social and emotional health.

Stay safe: through participating in structured activities young people will be able to understand the safety implications associated with sport and keeping Healthy and apply certain aspects in everyday life. Participants will be in a secure environment where they can experience an enjoyable and exciting activity and are safe from any prejudice or harm and work with people of their same ability.

Enjoy and Achieve: Participants will have access to accredited training in various fields including Sports Leaders Award, First Aid and Health and Safety. This will enable members to build their portfolio and gain either employment or training. Such sense of achievement will be recognised by medals and certificates.
