Disability Sports Day Festival 2018

On a sunny day at the Mile End stadium, Vallance Community Sports Association held their 10th annual Disability Sports Day Festival 2018 on Monday 14th May.

Over 150 participants registered on the day to take part in the multi sports activities which included Football, Cricket, Soft Tennis, Inclusive Bikes and many others. 

A big thank you to all the staff and management of the schools and organisations that attended and took part.  

A special mention to:

- Shenneth Brereton from the Tower Hamlets Sports Development
- Austin Hughes from the West Ham Utd Foundation

- Tim Oliver from the Soft Golf


The Festival was about participation but there were some winners in the activities: 


Football team winners- APASEN (Asian Parents Association for Special Educational Needs)

Football team runner’s up- BPCA (Bangladesh Parents Care Association)

Football player of the day- Justin from the Tower Project

Cricket team winners- APASEN (Asian Parents Association for Special Educational Needs)

Cricket team runner’s up- Tower Project

Cricket player of the day- Shumon from APASEN

Golf player of the day (male) - Hussain

Golf player of the day (female) - Yvonne

Athletics 60 metre sprint -

1st: Emem Eniunam

2nd: Juber Ahmed

3rd: Richard Fuller

4 x 4 relays-
