Tower Hamlets Mayors Cup 2013

During 2 weekends in April,Vallance FC Senior and Youth Teams took part in the Tower Hamlets Mayors Cup 2013. The tournament kicked off on Saturday 6th April at Victoria Park with Vallance U16 & U14 taking part. Both teams won their respected groups undefeated. Vallance U16 did it without conceding a goal.

Vallance U16 won their semi final 2-0 against Newark U16 and Vallance U14 beat Westward Boys U14 on penalties to reach the finals. On Sunday 7th April, Vallance Senior side played out their group and finished 3rd. On Saturday 13th April, Vallance Junior Teams U9, U10, U11 & U12 took part on the Astroturf pitches in Mile End.

Vallance U9 finished 3rd in their group. Vallance U10 & U11 won their groups and made it to the finals. Vallance U12 won their group but they lost in the semi-finals. On Sunday 14th April, all the finals took place at the Mile End Stadium. First to play was Vallance U10 who won their game 3-1 on penalties against Westward Boys U10. Vallance U11 also won their game on penalties 3-2 against Osmani FC U11.

Vallance U14 won their game 3-0 against Sommers Town Future U14. Goals were scored by Frankie, Aaron and Callum. Vallance U16 played Sommers Town Future U16 in the final and won 4-2. Goals were scored by Mahdi Alam, who is the Young Mayor of Tower Hamlets. Sadiqur Rahman also scored and Man of the Match Salman Khan Scored 2.
