As part of staff and management training at Vallance, on 17th and 18th November 2016 Vallance Project manager Junel Uddin and the Football Development Officer Md Iqbal Hussain took part in the 2 day Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Workshop.
Youth MHFA is an internationally recognised training programme designed specifically for people who teach, work, live with or care for young people aged 8 – 18. The training programme was delivered by qualified Youth MHFA instructors who provided information, tools and techniques to promote a young person’s mental and emotional wellbeing. Also covered was other topics specific to young people that include child and adolescent development, psychosis, bullying/cyber bullying and promoting protective factors and good parenting.
Junel Uddin said "This was a great workshop and we will hopefully run this workshop in the future for all our staff and volunteers"
